Some changes with the classes - Please read first!
SInce offering lessons is new to me, it has been trial and error. After two months of private lessons being far more popular than class lessons, I have decided to change the format. Private lessons are still offered at $20 an hour in my studio, for as many hours and as often as you like. Please contact me from the "Contact Me" page to disucess availablity. I will give private lessons to students as young as 8, but for classes they must be 10.
The classes have changed. I will still offer all the same classes that I had previously offered, but now you get to create the class with your friends. The prices below reflect the cost total for that particular class and the maximum number of students I can accept for that class. You and your friends may choose to divide the cost among yourselves, but the total amount is due at the start of class. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to arrange a class. This method actually ends up saving you money if you are able to find friends do to the class with you!

Rag Quilt Class
Rag quilts are fun and easy to make. Spend an afternoon with me and leave with an almost finished quilt. The only step you will need to do after leaving me is wash the quilt to give it the "ragged" look. This project requires just 4 yards of flannel material for a lap sized quilt. 2 yards of each color. Once you learn how to do it, you can make many to use as gifts or for yourself. One for each room of your house!
Create a gift class
Ever want to make a cute gift for your grandchild, family friend, or other important person in your life? Ever want a shirt that you just can't buy anywhere else, but don't know how to make? In this class you will learn to how create beautiful gifts using fabric, a t-shirt, and the blanket stitch. Once you learn you just can't stop! In just 2 hours you will learn how to do the blanket stitch and complete a project. Please email to register for the class and to recieve the supply list. Basic Hand Sewing for Children
During this 2 hour class children will learn how to start and complete a hand sewing project. Sewing "balloons" or "flowers" onto a T-Shirt. Skills learned - tying a knot, straight stitch, how to sew a button, and a running stitch.

Basic Machine Sewing
Do you have a sewing machine you don't know how to use? Do you want to learn to sew on your machine or try out sewing on a machine before you look into buying one? (sorry I don't sell machines) I have a few machines or you can bring your own to learn how to machine sew.
This month we will be learning to sew on the machine while making a Schlep bag. It will be reversible and great for carrying library books, groceries, toys, beach clothes, or just about anything you can think of! Please check out my facebook fan page to see some of the bags my student's made!

Paper Piecing - a method of quilt piecing
Learn how to create quilt squares using the Paper Piecing method. Basic sewing machine skills required. Variety of patterns to choose from. Leave this 3 hour class with a finished pillow, the project pictured is not the pattern we will use, I will be updating the picture soon! Basic Hand Sewing - Anytime - Group of children or birthday party!
Looking for a unique birthday party idea or simply a fun afternoon for your childre and their friends? Have 6 children that want to learn to hand sew? Class size is 6 students. $125 for all 6 students and includes all supplies needed for the two hour class! These can be scheduled anytime I don't already have classes during the day or evening. Email me today to schedule your hand sewing class! These classes will be offered in different age groups from 5 to 9, 10 to 14, and 14 to 18 and the project will depend on age group. If you have a mixture of multiple age groups please let me know and we will work out a project!
Basic Machine Sewing - Anytime - Adult Group lessons
Have a group of friends that would love to have a ladies' (or gentlemans') sewing night out? Get 6 friends together for an evening of fun! Use my machines or bring your own to create a project and learn to use your machine. This class is geared to adults ages 18 and up. This will be a three hour class, any day that I'm not already using the studio for other lessons. $150 for all 6 students, supplies included.
Private Lessons - anytime
I also offer private sewing lessons. I will teach you what you would like to learn. $20 an hour, as many hours as you would like to learn. Can be weekly, bi-weekly, once a month, or just a long afternoon. Email today!
